factor-rs

A command-line program for listing the prime factors of a number or fraction. Uses the prime_factorization library. Supports all integers between -2128 and 2128, all fractions (of either sign) with numerator and denominator below 2128, and all decimal numbers (of either sign) with a mantissa below 2128 and an exponent below 39. Fractions and decimals are also reduced to their lowest forms.

Examples

$ factor 0 1 3 8 12 -255 4/12 6.125 -7/3 5/0 0/0
0 = 0
1 = 1
3 = 3
8 = 2^3
12 = 2^2 * 3
-255 = -1 * 3 * 5 * 17
4/12 = 3^-1 = 1/3
6.125 = 2^-3 * 7^2 = 49/8
-7/3 = -1 * 3^-1 * 7
5/0 = 5 * 1/0 = 1/0
0/0 = 0/0
