Todo:

fix issue where when a non modal then modal key is pressed, the order is backward. If any keys are already down, we should not enter a mode.
add auto repeat functoinality
add forward delete for when don't want that auto delimeter.
add multiple key presses for key mappings. This would allow auto delimeter and more flexiblity.flexibility.
