Cargo-edit is both an executable binary that can be run, and a library that can be used in Rust programs.

Installing cargo-add cargo-rm cargo-upgrade executables

Assuming you have Rust/Cargo installed, run this command in a terminal:

cargo install -f cargo-edit

It will make cargo-add cargo-rm cargo-upgrade commands available in your PATH if you've allowed the PATH to be modified when installing Rust. cargo uninstall cargo-edit uninstalls.

Adding cargo_edit library as a dependency

To add it manually, edit your project's Cargo.toml file and add to the [dependencies] section:

cargo-edit = "0.6.0"

The cargo_edit library will automatically available globally. Read the cargo_edit library documentation.
